I’m passionate about creating inspired math classrooms that are engaging and joyful for both students and their teachers. After being a high school teacher for 12 years, I ventured out as an independent collaborator and consultant in 2012. As an accomplished facilitator of lesson study for K-12 teachers, I currently invest my time partnering with schools and districts that are interested in taking a teacher-centered approach to professional development. The Imperfect and Unfinished Math Teacher captures what I’ve learned from hundreds of passionate and caring (and exhausted) teachers about how we sustain our love for teaching and get better at our craft. An aspiring storyteller, I live on the road and am currently collecting stories from math teachers all over the country.
