D. M. McNamara

Dennis Michael McNamara is a writer and historic surveyor working in London. He performs poetry in and around East London under the pseudonym Shoreditchpoet.

Dennis works on historic buildings, including The Tower of London, Westminster Palace, St Stephens Tower (Big Ben), and many others. He has won numerous poetry and short fiction awards including Exeter, Cambridge and Iowa University creative writing competitions. He has appeared on the Jeremy Vine Show (BBC Radio 2), discussing Haiku poetry and creativity along with other guests including Doctor Michael Mosley.

He is married and has four children – hence not publishing more, Dennis says – although he intends to change this. His first poetry collection is due out in Spring 2022.
