Adeline M. Olmer

Adeline Olmer, a French native, is passionate about living well, enjoying good food and sharing it with friends and family. She moved to the United States as a young girl and has had the privilege of living between the two countries for several decades.

Le Kitchen Cookbook is unlike other cookbooks. It does not simply provide a recipe for you to follow. Adeline teaches you to cook as she learned while growing up in France. You learn to create meals instead of just follow recipes. Chef Peter Kelley said of Adeline’s book Le Kitchen Cookbook: a workbook it “should be required reading for anyone that takes cooking seriously.”

Adeline writes a food and lifestyle blog for her website French-secrets.com where you can read tips about food, and observations on growing up French in America.

Adeline worked in her family’s iconic antique store, in Connecticut as well as an interior designer, and fashion design. Her work has been featured in major publications including Self Magazine, Cosmopolitan, Victoria, Mary Emmerling's Country, The Daily News, and The New York Observer.

Adeline lives in Westchester County, NY with her husband Mark and their dog Bentley.
