Zoevera "Zoey" Jackson lives in Fredericksburg, VA with her husband and two college-aged sons. She is a retired Army officer with over 20yrs of honorable military service. She has a Bachelor's Degree in English from Illinois State University and a Masters Degree in Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma. She spends her spare time writing and publishing books, doing yoga, and advocating for children's literacy in the community.
She has published four books, one adult non-fiction book titled, "Journey to Yogi Fine Fit - Total Mind and Body Transformation" and two children's nonfiction picture book, "Yoga with my Foster Mom" and "Just Keep Dreaming" and one children fiction picture book, "Yoga, Yoga In the Park."
She is also President and CEO of 3H Yoga Foundation Inc. 501c3 (Non-Profit) which provides yoga & reflective writing workshops and self-care classes to underserved, underprivileged and underrepresented populations and various minority community engagement organizations.
As a writer, she focuses on the empowerment and celebration of black girls and black women. One of the main ways that she does this is through the representation and featuring of black girls and black women in her books and yoga teaching resources.
