Jim McGrath

Jim McGrath is a teacher, coach, and writer, based in Newport News, VA. He has been a sports freelancer since 2008, and is seen in the Daily Press and Virginian Pilot (Hampton Roads, VA), Washington Post, Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, Alexandria Times, Savannah Morning News, Richmond Times-Dispatch, Morning Call(PA), Roanoke Times, and other newspapers. He has also written extensively for Virginia Preps, Recruit757, Williamsburg-Yorktown Daily, MileStat, TrackNation and FloTrack.

Jim and his wife of 22 years, Elizabeth, an educator since 2001, reside in Newport News.
