Joce was born in Chapel Hill, North Carolina but moved to Miami, Florida with her mother in 1960 and have resided in Miami, Florida since that time. She graduated from Miami Killian Senior High School where her love for poetry and writing began. Joce graduated from Florida International University in Miami, Florida with a Bachelor's and Master's in Public Administration. The book, Inspirational Book of Poetry and Readings is her second book. The first book was written after losing a grand son to a dirt bike accident. That book is entitled, Memories of My Grand Son: Jelani Teriq Bryant.
Joce wears many hats. She is a pastor's wife, a mother and a grand mother. She serves as the administrative assistant at her local church where she supports her husband. She is a leading lady in the women's ministry; is a public speaker and mentor to young women and girls. She contributes leadership in various facets of the church's ministry.
Joce is presently writing a fiction novel centered around the lives of fictitious characters who are religious, attend church regularly. The characters get into various kinds of situations and problems with one another that revolves the intertwining of their their religious lives outside and inside their church.
