Alison Perry-Davies

Alison Perry-Davies is a bestselling author, healing practitioner, and award-winning community advocate who lives by the words There is always hope. Having walked through her own share of trauma and healing, she’s passionate about helping others find light through the dark.

With over 40 years of experience supporting individuals and families—especially in the disability community—Alison has worn many hats: support worker, case manager, music therapy practitioner, worship leader, counselor, and board member for organizations like the Family Support Institute of BC and the Military Family Resource Centre. She’s also a certified Holistic Art Therapy and Vibrational Sound Therapy practitioner with additional training in counseling and autism support.

As a mum of two adult children, one of whom lives with cognitive challenges and autism, Alison brings not just professional expertise but heartfelt understanding to her work. Her latest children’s book, Look Around and Ground with Ginger and The Fun Bunch, was inspired by her own childhood, her love for imaginative stories like Pippi Longstocking, and the bedtime adventures she shared with her grandchildren, Hannah and Kashus.

Alison writes the kind of books she wishes she’d had as a child—gentle, empowering, and full of wonder. She’s been honored with the WOW Woman of Worth Award for Community Spirit and Victoria’s Civic Service Award. Whether through her books, her podcast Find Your Joy, or her healing work, Alison’s mission is simple: to nurture joy, connection, and hope—especially for children and families who need it most.
