Allison Romero

Allison has her master’s in special education as well as middle grades education and her bachelor’s in elementary education. She believes that learning should be fun, productive, and lifelong. Allison was homeschooled K-12 and developed a love for teaching from her volunteer work in children’s ministry.

After writing as a hobby for years, Allison published her first children’s book in 2020. Today, she continues writing while also developing academic materials to accompany her books.

Inspiration for her writing comes from her faith, her family, and her own life experiences. Allison hopes that her writing will not only allow multiracial children to see themselves in books, but will also open up conversations about multiracial families.

A Colorado native, Allison enjoys hiking, reading, baking, and traveling.
