I am a husband, father, outdoor enthusiast, admirer of history, and love the challenges of creativity. As a writer, artist, and photographer I strive to bridge ideas, depict beauty, ignite curiosity, and tell stories of the heart – more about who people are on the inside, rather than their outward appearance.

I love history and cultures. To that end I completed an undergraduate degree in History with a language minor in Portuguese and French. I've visited 28 countries. Each day I try to improve my knowledge of world geography. I believe where you are from is as important as where I am from. I respect you, by trying to know a little about where you are from.

I believe learning the lessons of the past are pivotal to our progression today and try to make those connections in the books I write.

To relax I love to experience the beauty of the Earth. From mountains to canyons, deserts to tropical climes, the grandeur of the outdoors is where I recharge. You will find me and my family hiking, skiing, camping, and exploring the fantastic wonders of nature.
