Bill Newkirk

Bill has been burdened to focus on communicating the context of the New Testament. He began his search for Truth (see 2 John) with an abrupt solo unexpected encounter with God the summer after high school. Trying to read the Bible in its current format at that time was very confusing to him as a novice. After a brief detour through the Mormon Church, he married the girl of his wildest hopes from high school and they attended and graduated from Multnomah School of the Bible. They helped a friend and fellow graduate start a new church body in Morton, Washington while trying to sort out what the reality of how should the “Church” be, look and act. They joined a newly formed group that met in homes. During this time, he and his wife Elaine raised and homeschooled (mainly Elaine!) ten children in the rural setting of the “Twin Cities” in Washington. As Bill worked in a job in financial advising, he unknowingly also received a valuable education in humanity. Over the next forty plus years they were part of the body life of their group of “unorganized” Christians and were gradually weaned from the rigid expectations of “religion” while involved in studying, learning, teaching and re-orienting themselves with the reality of the truth of Scripture. Bill can be contacted at drluke2theophilus@gmail.com.
