Tracy L Gatton

Tracy Gatton lives with her husband, and their blind calico kitty in beautiful St. Mary's County Maryland, in the town of Hollywood. She stays busy at her day job as a dental assistant for 30 years. She is active at her church. She loves to spend time on her front porch, walking in the woods, or just about anywhere outside. She loves to people watch and just observe her surroundings as she searches for all the different ways Gods is at work around her.

Tracy was diagnosed as dyslexic in the first grade but loved story time (there were puppets and a teepee to color pictures of the stories) and was able to correct the issue. She loves to read everything, just make it a great story! Make her laugh, catch her breath as you describe something beautiful or suspenseful, make her angry at the villain, or hope that she is wrong about them in the end. Mainly she loves love, hope and faith. She loves real and authentic stories about all of us flawed and broken people, because she is the first to tell you she is right there in the front of the line scars aplenty.

Tracy started writing at very young age writing stories for her puppets, and making stories for extra credit for her vocabulary words. Later as a teenager learning how to navigate the waters of how to express herself when she didn't feel she had voice. She would hide between the lines of the poetry like a wall. Until as an adult she started sharing her voice. Until she learned she had a voice that matters. She was challenged to lift her voice up for people like her, and to lift it up for God's glory. I will raise my voice! Poetry For the Beautifully Broken is Tracy's first book of poetry.
