Brett DeWall

Brett DeWall is an illustrator/author living in Colorado with his wife Shalyn and dog Penny. Brett's creative journey began in the '80s with a passion for drawing and animating cartoons, eventually leading him to earn a degree from the esteemed Art Center College of Design.

In 2018, he focused his artistic skills towards creating personalized pet portraits for people and “Pets by Brett” was born. Soon after, Brett ventured into the world of children's literature, publishing his first book "Dogs! A Through BreedZ," in 2021 and discovering a newfound love for storytelling.

Inspired by this experience, he founded Witty Tales Publishing in 2023, dedicating himself to creating captivating and educational kids' books that delight both young readers and their families. He released his second book "Dogs! A Through BreedZ - Volume 2" in 2024.

In his spare time, he enjoys playing guitar, biking, hiking, daydreaming, and attending concerts with mosh pits.
