Anna DiGilio

Anna DiGilio was born and raised in New York and has made her home in Westchester County, where she lives with her husband and their twin boys when they come home from college.

With a master’s degree in Curriculum Design and Teaching from Fordham University, as well as a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, Anna was a 2nd grade teacher for 23 years. But her great passion and love for teaching compelled her to start a business that was geared towards engaging the youngest of learners to love reading and learning.

Her company, Guided Readers, is aimed at getting children reading from a young age and it has already published thousands of children’s books, many of them written by Anna herself, to help children learn to read and love reading in the process. Her books are sold to schools, teachers, and parents, with over a thousand titles that are available in digital format on https://guidedreaders.com/ and which will soon be available through Amazon.

In her free time, Anna enjoys reading, listening to podcasts and taking online courses to expand her own knowledge. She also enjoys spending lots of time with her large extended family.

It was Anna’s mission to help children enjoy reading right from her very first day in teaching and nothing has changed, except that she is now doing it on a much grander scale. She hopes to continue to expand Guided Readers and see her books read by millions of children who will be inspired by what they can achieve through a love of reading.
