JK Savoy

J.K. Savoy has always learned by doing. He has been a corporate executive, a restaurateur, a pilot, and a candidate for political office. His fiction draws heavily on Brooklyn, reinvention, ambition, bad decisions, and the strange turns a life can take.

His novel Somewhere in Brooklyn was inspired by an unusual chapter in his own life: living on the streets of Brooklyn after a very different beginning. That experience eventually led to the creation of Kenny The Mover, a Brooklyn moving company.

He is the author of Somewhere in Brooklyn, And Then There's Lily, Night Bird, In The Wind, and the short-story collection Short Stack. His next novel, As Told By Time, is forthcoming.
