Jo Ann West

I was born and raised in Providence, Rhode Island and I have five siblings. I graduated from St. Mary’s Academy of the Visitation and St. Joseph’s School of Nursing. I worked as a nurse at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital for most of my nursing career then went on to work in hospice, school nursing and finally teaching. I have four wonderful children and six precious grandchildren. I am retired and spend most of my days babysitting. I love children. I also love animals and I am deeply saddened by how animals are treated in the dairy, meat and wool industries. Feeling powerless to help these animals, I decided to write a book, hoping to touch the hearts of children who read it, so they one day grow up and make the world a better place for all animals.
