Debra Hoffmann Knowles

D.A. Hoffmann is a poet, novelist, and mystical storyteller originally from Queens, New York, now living in Bay Minette, Alabama. Her work blends historical fiction, gothic fantasy, and spiritual realism, often exploring themes of transformation, grief, and resilience.

She is the author of The Lords of Power trilogy, the vampire rock saga beginning with Electric and Riders on the Storm, and From the Between, a collection of poems “written” by her spirit cat, Orange Ruffy. Her book Do All The Cats Live On Cages? shares heartfelt and humorous stories from her time working at a Humane Society.

A passionate cat rescuer, advocate, and artist, Deb’s writing is for anyone who’s ever felt like an outsider, searched for magic in the mundane, or carried too much light in a shadowed world.
