Tykara Mobley

Tykara Mobley is a graduate from Rowan University with her B.A in Law and Justice. However, she has been writing poetry as a way of expression for many years. Born and raised in Plainfield, New Jersey, she has performed in numerous poetry showcases and open mics throughout her high school and college career; she has also hosted few workshops at various high schools and colleges. Tykara's love for poetry took a turn when she made the decision to release her first self-published book of poetry. Grey Matter: An Apex of Feelings, is a 52-page emotionally poetic journey through the mind of an young adult. The book touches on various topics such as the trials and tribulations of life, love, acceptance, and resurgence. With such a relatable and inspiring personality, Tykara uses her poetry to reach out to her community and other young adults struggling with similar obstacles in life.
