Nicoleta Taylor

Born in Transylvania, Romania, Nicoleta moved to Phoenix, Arizona, in her forties. Her name bridges her Romanian roots with her American present.

Growing up in communist Romania, she found solace in reading and writing. At 14, she won "Someș" Literary Presences, a Transylvanian poetry contest - becoming the youngest poet ever to receive the honor. Her talent continued to gain recognition in the 1989 Mihai Eminescu National Contest of Romanian Language and Literature, and later in the 2011 Text Construct National Contest of Romanian Poetry and Short Prose.

On Earth Day 2022, she published her first poetry collection, "Terrans: To MotherShip Terra's Stewards, with Love", an Amazon bestseller in inspirational poetry. This eco-conscious work blends science fiction with spirituality in a heartfelt tribute to our planet.

In 2021, she was invited to contribute to "Wisdom of the Silver Sisters – Guiding Grace", an American collective volume that became a #1 Amazon international bestseller, received the Firebird Book Award, and was selected by Barnes & Noble as one of the Biggest Books of the Fall. Its success led to a follow-up volume in 2022, "Golden Wisdom of Love, Legends, and Legacies", another #1 Amazon bestseller that added to Nicoleta’s expanding literary journey.

A preview of her upcoming novel, "Umäni", was featured in 2023 in "The Imaginist: Fairy Tales, Folklore, and Fables", an anthology of short stories.

In May 2025, she published her first children’s book, "Fair Bear" - a magical journey that grows with young readers, starting with a lovable rhyme and ending with answers to all their curious bear questions.

Nicoleta is also a licensed Romanian<>English translator and interpreter, teaches Romanian language and culture courses to American students, and provides linguistic services for Duolingo, the world’s most popular language learning app.
