Jackie Isard is an award winning botanical and nature artist living in the UK. She graduated with a BA (Hons) in Graphic Design in 1989 and had a long career in this field. In 2013 she studied Garden Design and was awarded a distinction. It was from here she entered the botanical world. She is a Fellow member of the Society of Botanical Artists and has won awards when exhibiting with them. In 2022 she won an RHS Gold medal and has paintings in the RHS Lindlay Library and the Dr Shirley Sherwood collection. She is self-taught and enjoys painting flowering plants and nature subjects. Her detailed and accurate approach ensures her paintings are true to botanical form. Jackie runs watercolour mixing courses both in workshops and online. She is passionate about colour, and her clear and detailed tuition has already proved invaluable for many students wishing to improve their colour mixing skills. In 2020 Jackie wrote this, her first book, which she felt would be a much needed addition to the botanical book world. This book will be an essential tool for any botanical diploma student.
