Rod Robertson is the founder of Briggs Capital, which he has managed since 2001. Rod has personally directed over 100 sell- or buy-side transactions. He specializes in finding companies that need to be re-positioned before they are sold, which almost always leads to a higher sales price. Rod has mentored hundreds of ambitious business people in their quest to become entrepreneurs. With over 500 registered buyers at Briggs, Rod has developed a systematic approach to discrete sales of family-owned businesses to entrepreneurs, strategic partners, and private equity funds.
While at Briggs, Rod has enjoyed traveling the globe doing mergers and acquisitions. He also lectures far and wide on the pitfalls and perils of entrepreneurship. Rod has been a frequent guest lecturer at such institutions as the Harvard Business School, Babson MBA program, along with many of other higher-education institutions around the world. He has conducted his own “Shark Tank” contests for the best and brightest in multiple countries and continues to connect young entrepreneurs worldwide.
Rod is the successful author of three well-received books: Winning at Entrepreneurship, The Human Vector, and The New World of Entrepreneurship. He has been the featured guest speaker on over 100 national radio programs, podcasts, and syndicated television shows and is often quoted in national print media on a wide range of subjects. He has traveled to over 50 countries and will go where others dare not to seek the best and the brightest.
