Born in Fort MacMurray, on the wetlands of northern Alberta, Canada, I was raised on the prairies south of Calgary. My restlessness as a child and a desire to see faraway places saw me marry a Swiss man at a young age and move to Switzerland. After many adventures and travels, we returned to Canada and eventually divorced. What happened next inspired me to write my first book, I Heard the Alps Call His Name, in 2021. It chronicles the abduction of my son by my ex-husband to Switzerland, and the heartache of living with these consequences and trying to get him back. After many years of estrangement and sadness, I was finally able to find peace and begin a new life with my son.
My second book, Across the Pond: Torn Between Two Worlds, is a part sequel to the first book, published in June 2024.
I also write plays, poems, short stories, and blogs. My YouTube channel will be ready to view by May 2025.
I love travelling, painting, choir singing, relaxing with yoga and meditation, dancing, reading, and enjoying life. Always up for a new adventure, I split my time between Portugal, Canada, and Switzerland.
