Ray Fuller is a Fellow Emeritus of Trinity College Dublin where he was a professor of psychology and head of department. His major research focus was on human factors and safety in both aviation and ground transport, for which he was regarded as a leading international theoretician. Books include Aviation Psychology in Practice (with N. McDonald and N. Johnston), A Century of Psychology: Progress, Paradigms and Prospects for the New Millennium (with P. Noonan Walsh and P. McGinley), Human Factors for Highway Engineers (with J.A. Santos), Seven Pioneers of Psychology and most recently Life of Brain (2023). He is also the author of two books for children: Mid-Winter Bleak (2020) and The Butterfly (2024) and has published several poems.
Ray lives in Ireland where apart from writing he devotes time to crafting the odd item of furniture, walking, cycling, gardening and enjoying time with his six grandchildren.
