Christopher J. Lane

Christopher J. Lane serves as Associate Professor of History at Christendom College in Front Royal, Va. His first book focuses on vocational discernment in seventeenth-century France, especially young people's choices of a state of life (marriage, the clerical state, or religious vows). In this book and elsewhere, he studies the long-term legacy of early modern Catholic and Protestant reform efforts in shaping modernity, even to the present day.
