Colin Jordan

Colin Jordan is the author of a number of books and would have written many more by now, if only able to tear himself away from the beloved British National Health Service. Colin had only read one book cover to cover by age 23, believe it or not, that being SE Hinton's That Was Then, This Is Now, before stumbling across Martin Amis' breed of satire. After years of self-esteem building and the encouragement of friends, Colin wrote his first novel, Soft Knocks, A Young Man's Awakening, about a delicate young black man growing up in 1970's British suburbia. He'd really wanted to write a character like John Self from Amis' Money, but was too afraid at the time, but has since made up for it with with Mike in his second novel, In Company Of Women & One Man Trying His Best. Colin's other interests are theology, psychology, open mic nights, jazz and EVs - Colin's been married to Samantha (thank goodness, with that profile) for decades, she also being an author.
