Anna Moates, a native of Smithville, GA, is the youngest of four children and always assumed she would follow in her sibling's footsteps and attend college. She has long aspired to be a trailblazer for others with disabilities and is currently a senior at Auburn University (EAGLES Program) as Auburn's first ever student with Down syndrome. She has been very involved with campus activities including performing with the Auburn University Singers ( 4 years), attending Phi Mu Social Sorority events, performing with the Auburn University United Sound Band, hosting Auburn Baseball games as a Diamond Doll, and leading as a College of Education Ambassador. In her spare time, she pursues her passions of reading, music, bible study and church, horses, writing songs, and hanging out with friends. Anna is excited for you to get to know her and read about her sweet friendship with her " almost twin". And she is excited to share the important message of inclusion and celebrating differences.
