Nollaig Frost

I learned that I loved writing as I developed my career as an academic psychologist over the past 15 years. With two books and several papers published, my thoughts turned to writing creative fiction. During regular trips to my second home in Ireland I heard tales of fairies, beliefs in their influence on everyday life, and their astounding capabilities for vengeance and mischief-making; the seed of my first novel, The Mothers, was planted. During an enjoyable but bumpy ride involving medical mishaps, amazing support and constructive criticism from writing groups, family, and friends, the story was crafted into the novel, and published in 2021, alongside my third academic book. I continue my research into motherhood, and understanding of how we acquire knowledge about ourselves and the world around us, but also ensure that I have time for my love of writing fiction. The second novel is underway!
