Matthew Speckman is a native of the San Francisco Peninsula and served as a police officer for thirty-one years. He worked for an agency in the San Francisco Bay Area and in the San Joaquin Valley. He retired as a watch commander in the patrol division.
He worked a variety of specialized assignments including field training officer, canine handler, detective, operations sergeant, patrol watch commander, and led the internal affairs division.
He holds an AA in Administration of Justice, a BS in Business Management, and an MBA. His specialized education includes professional studies at the University of Virginia, the West Point Leadership Program, Cornell University Executive Leadership Program, and graduation from the 216th session of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia.
In his free time, he searches the golf course for his errant tee shots and volunteers for various organizations. He resides in Modesto, California with his wife Karen.
