Kate Daubney

Careers Education to Demystify Employability is a book that brings some of the most innovative work in university careers and employability education into a pre-18 context. Well-tested, research and evidence-based concepts developed to help learners engage with their career journey and develop their employability are shared to help careers professionals and teachers get more impact from their interactions with pre-18 learners.

Kate Daubney has been an educator for almost 30 years, and a careers professional for almost 20 years, working in schools and higher education. A qualified teacher, she consults globally on how to build and deliver strategies so that educators and careers professionals can support students and learners to get to where they want to get to in their future lives. Some of the work published in Careers Education to Demystify Employability has also been published in research journals after blind peer review, but Kate's priority is always to create usable, relevant and impactful approaches that work.

Kate has been head of two university careers services in the UK and is currently Director of The Careers Group, the federation of careers services within the University of London federation.
