A. J. Hill

From a young age, A. J. Hill fell in love with storytelling. Before she was filling up her first grade notebooks with the adventures of detective strawberries and runaway leaves, she was making up bedtime stories for the calves in the barn. She attributes her never fading interest in storytelling to her grandmother, who could hold a rambunctious four-year-old’s interest with tales of the house cat and his adventures in the chicken coop.

A. J. eventually fled the coop, so to speak, and headed off to the bright city lights. As it turns out, flashing neon signs in front of the bedroom window aren’t all it’s cracked up to be. Neither is heavy-duty traffic. Today, she lives on an island, with a hefty iron construction binding it to the mainland, and enjoys travelling to other continents with bright lights and/or palm trees.
