JT Ellis is a 30-year veteran who served in the U.S. Army as a special operations officer working with anti-terrorism and counter-terrorism forces. His assignments included U.S. Forces Korea Command, Operation Iraqi Freedom; Operation Enduring Freedom; Operation Just Cause, and covert special operations throughout Europe.
Other key assignments include Director, Private Security Training Academy, Lieutenant, operations officer, Fluvanna County Sheriff’s Office, Comanche County Sheriff’s Office deputy in charge of special operations; lead officer in the rescue and recovery operations during the Oklahoma City bombing.
Mr. Ellis trained military and civilian special operations units throughout the world. He also served as protective service officer for Yolanda King, daughter of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., presidents and military dignitaries.
Mr. Ellis is an honor graduate of Drury University and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice. He is a member of Alpha Phi Sigma, the National Criminal Justice Honor Society and a published author. He holds a national certification from Homeland Security as a protection professional conducing risk, vulnerability, and threat assessments for private, public, nonprofit, federal and state agencies across the Nation.
Mr. Ellis’ awards and decorations include five meritorious service metals, three commendation medals; United States National Defense Medal for the war on terrorism, four overseas services ribbon; command staff ribbon; and Oklahoma City first responder’s badge, and several other foreign country awards.
Mr. Ellis is a certified U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command Master Instructor. He is also a Department of Criminal Justice Services certified instructor, a Private Security Services certified instructor, and a certified law enforcement training officer.
