Dr. Cherice Roth, an alumnus of Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine, also holds a Master's in Biochemistry from the University of North Texas Health Science Center. Her journey in veterinary medicine took her to Australia, where she honed her skills in exotic animal medicine and surgery. Once stateside, she provided invaluable mentorship to veterinary assistants and fellow DVMs in local hospitals. Dr. Roth has donned multiple hats throughout her career—from serving as an associate DVM to becoming chief medical officer. Her vast experience encompasses veterinary medicine's clinical, industry, and administrative facets. She co-developed the RACE-approved Virtual Care University and MyPetDoc, further solidifying her pioneering status in virtual veterinary care. With four patent applications, she's an undeniable force in the field.
Dr. Roth is currently the Chief Veterinary Officer of the Digital Pet Health Platform for Mars Veterinary Health. She also plays pivotal roles as the Lead Medical Advisor for KeraVetBio and is active on boards for organizations such as Board of Chief Veterinary Medical Officers (BCVMO), Seattle Humane, Wallace Health & Veterinary Professionals Instilling Black Excellence (VIBE). A staunch advocate for virtual veterinary care, she views it as a potential solution to both pet health disparities and the well-being of veterinary professionals.
Her passion also extends to literature; Dr. Roth penned children’s books "What’s a REAL Doctor?" and "What Does a REAL Doctor Look Like?" echoing themes of diversity, STEM, veterinary medicine, and representation.
Away from her professional pursuits, the serene woods of Oregon serve as her haven. Here, she spends cherished moments at the "Roth Ranch" with her beloved animals, her two sons—lovingly termed 'The Rothlings', and her spouse. Additionally, her profound love for animals is reflected in her service on the medical boards of charitable organizations dedicated to Boxers, Dobermans, and Dachshunds.
