Dr. Chittaranjan Subudhi is serving as an Professor (Associate) in the Department of Social Work (Delhi School of Social Work), University of Delhi. The University of Delhi is one of India’s premier institutions of higher learning, renowned for its academic excellence, research contributions, and diverse intellectual community. He began his academic career at the Central University of Tamil Nadu, Thiruvarur, India.
Dr. Subudhi is a dedicated social work educator and researcher, committed to promoting Indian and Indianised models of social work practice across the country. He holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from Utkal University, Odisha, and earned his Ph.D. in Mental Health from the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela, India.
His research spans multiple domains, including Social Work, Psychiatric Social Work, Health and Mental Health, Medical Anthropology, Family and Child Welfare, Disability Studies, and Tribal Health/Mental Health Issues. He teaches courses such as Psychiatric Social Work, Working with Individuals and Communities, Qualitative Research, and Health System Management.
Dr. Subudhi has authored numerous research papers, Books and Edited Books, published in reputed national and international peer-reviewed journals, including those by Elsevier, Springer, Sage, Routledge, Taylor & Francis, and other Web of Science and Scopus-indexed publications.
