Carol Marcus

Carol Marcus is an illustrator, author, and early literacy expert who has spent more than 30 years helping children and parents develop reading and graphic communication skills. Trained as a visual artist, she spent her early career illustrating children’s books and textbooks. More than a decade of working in public school libraries provided her with a clear understanding of the connection between hands-on engagement with books and an early passion for reading. She saw that alphabet mastery and handwriting practice provides “I can” confidence that motivates young readers to read and write on their own.
