Sue Lawrence

Sue Lawrence is a Montanan with a southern accent. After more than 40 years as a Registered Nurse (in Alabama, Georgia, and Florida) she left health care to help people another way--as a writer. She came to Billings, Montana in 2019 to attend Rocky Mountain College, sight unseen--and lived and learned alongside 18-to-22-year-old classmates. She was 58 when she arrived for that memorable fall semester student orientation week, but felt "at home" on day one. Now, at age 62, she can't wait to write "author" on the "occupation" line on her next set of Federal Income Tax forms! "Montana's Memory Day: a nature-themed foster/adoption story" is her debut children's picture book. It's a story told from a kid's point of view and it's set in the middle of a snowy Montana winter.
