Ken Susnjara

Kenneth John (Ken) Susnjara is the founder, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer of Thermwood Corporation, a high technology manufacturing company that, among other things, is currently the market leader in the production of large scale additive manufacturing systems.

Ken began manufacturing while still in college, making parts for experimental aircraft using self-constructed equipment in the school shop. This grew into Thermwood and, by age 21, he was president of his own manufacturing company.

In more than 50 years in business he experienced all aspects of the business world including a variety of private and public financing, listing and operation as an AMEX traded public company, hostile take-over attempts, dealing with major foreign investors and a highly competitive and rapidly changing technology market. In his unique position with Thermwood he has experienced, on a personal basis, the internal operation of thousands of manufacturing companies from small, one and two person, shops to giant multi-national corporations.

He is named as inventor or co-inventor in almost 100 patents and patents pending and is author of nine books on the technology of manufacturing. He is a licensed instrument rated, multi-engine pilot, a certified open water diver and a trained chef.
