Juan E. Corradi is a professor emeritus of sociology at New York University and the author of 9 books. Born in Buenos Aires, in his earlier years he wanted to be an ideal Argentine: an Italian who speaks Spanish, dresses like an Englishman, and lives in Paris. He added Florence to the list. An American now, he lives with his wife Christina Spellman in New York and Newport, and he is an avid sailor too. He writes both fiction and "more serious" books on geopolitics.
