Monica Allen

Monica Allen is a serial entrepreneur owning several businesses in Atlanta. She is co-founder of Zeus' Closet, stuff4GREEKS and Deuce Equity Group. She is the sole proprietor of Monica Allen Interiors. She believes that being surrounded by positive people, believing in yourself, and having faith in God has led to her success. She has been married to her husband and business partner, Ethan King since 2003. She and Ethan like to build things together. They have built businesses, a home, a commercial space and a family together.

Monica majored in Risk Management and Insurance and earned her MBA while moving up the corporate ladder at Marsh|Mercer in the area of group employee benefits. After working in Corporate America for just over 8 years, Monica left her full-time job to pursue her entrepreneurial goals. Having started the business while working full-time, her company had grown to a point where it required full-time attention. Beginning their business as online only in 2002, Monica and Ethan decided to venture into brick and mortar in 2009 following the 2008 economic crisis. Though the timing might not have been perfect, their businesses have continued to grow year after year. Monica would later pursue another one of her passions and begin studying interior design at the former Atlanta College of Art and Design, now SCAD.

One thing that makes Monica happy is the ability to employ other people and help make their dreams of homeownership, going to school, or providing a good education to their kids come true. She feels like entrepreneurship is in her blood. Recently starting a podcast called Stitched for Success, Monica is dedicated to helping aspiring entrepreneurs, side hustlers, and early-stage business owners launch, grow and scale there companies while avoiding the pitfalls of owning their own business.
