Jen Lawrence

Jen Lawrence was born and raised in the picturesque winelands of Cape Town, South Africa. She grew up with a fascination for interpersonal relationships and the human psyche, which led to the pursuit of a master’s degree in Psychology she now nefariously uses in a successful Sales & Marketing career.

As a first-time novelist and author of the Fantasy Romance book, Guardian, her love of the Sci-fi and Fantasy genres stemmed from far too many hours spent in MMORPGs and single player Role-playing Video Games. Experiencing the unique and fantastical worlds, races, and magic systems of these games inspired her to develop the Darke Universe, which features a variety of romance stories between magical beings, many drawn from familiar myths and legends, to compliment the original world and race of Elf-like warrior women she created in Guardian.
