Thomas Gourneau Uscg

The Michigan native and Northwestern graduate served in the United States Coast Guard as a Machinery Technician (MK). His debut book LZ Sitting Duck: The fight for FSB Argonne with John Arsenault details the accounts of 1st Battalion 4th Marines Operation Purple Martin’s actions on March 20th, 1969, in the upper remote corner of South Vietnam. Released April 29th, 2021, by Liberty Hill Publishers the book describes firsthand accounts of the fight for FSB Argonne told by Marines from both infantry, aviation enlisted and officer's perspectives.

Mr. Gourneau's highly anticipated book “The Home wrecker at 30,000 feet." Based on documented all true events from the Houston/Lagos prostitution scandal that rocked United Airlines Houston base, prostitution Income, drug Income, and other forms of income schemes that include Austin area Attorney Charles Fagerberg with many more individuals' connections to the San Francisco base United Airlines Flight Attendant Simone Chance (documented history of prostitution and other crimes) inspired the novel. The reader will be able to see the evasive scheme that will have the reader on the edge with wondering wire fraud or money laundering could be considered on top of all the sources of income Chance uses. Other works in progress include a continuation of another Vietnam memoir in progress titled “Hell 672” the precursor to the first released "LZ Sitting Duck: The Fight for FSB Argonne" detailing Charlie Company 1st Battalion 4th Marines actions on Hills 672,690 and 720.
