With over 25 years experience across multiple sectors in the fitness and wellness industry, Dan served as the Lead Pastor at First Christian Church in Palo Alto, CA from 2015-2021. Formally Dan was the founder and CEO of Generations Community Wellness, a non-profit that touched over 630,000 lives in Northern California in partnership with churches, community benefit organizations, companies, government agencies, schools, and hospitals.
Dan was managing partner at McClure Nelson and Associates between 2013 - 2016, partnering with San Mateo County Health Systems, Kaiser Permanente, Alameda County Public Health Department, Santa Clara County Public Health Department, El Camino Hospital, and the Bay Area Nutrition and Physical Activity Collaborative helping agencies (hospitals, corporations, non-profits, schools, colleges, churches, and municipalities) adopt a culture of wellness within their circles of influence.
Recognized as an expert in program development, implementation and evaluation; fundraising, business development, behavior change, wellness coaching, fitness programs, healthy aging, human development, spiritual growth, nutrition across the lifespan, life/work balance, facility and program management, stress management, grant writing, team-building, needs assessment and strategic planning.
Dan is a faculty member at SJSU teaching courses including Fitness and Nutrition, Stress Management, Human Potential, Health Team-building, Children's Health and Fitness, Heath in Later Life, Applied Community Health, Health Across the Lifespan, and Creating a Meaningful Life.
Resides in Sunnyvale, CA with his beautiful wife Annette, daughter Sierra, and son Cayden.
