Welcome to the author page for Williams Farm Books! Those who live and work on farms prepare the soil, plant, irrigate, pull weeds, drive out pests, and after months of hard work, harvest a crop that not only meets needs but also enriches a community and beyond. Writing stories follows a similar path. A native Arizonan, V.C. Williams comes from a pioneer heritage where strong women stood shoulder to shoulder with their men in Texas and Arizona, handling challenges like killing a rattlesnake as effortlessly as baking a pie. Inspired by these women and many others V.C.’s encountered, she believes everyone has a story worth telling. Whether writing historical fiction, cozy mysteries, or YA time travel, each story is a journey of discovery, proving that a woman’s intelligence, unwavering devotion, and determination are worth “far more than rubies.”
V.C. Williams’s work has garnered excellent reviews from Kirkus and the Historical Fiction Co., and was honored with an Honorable Mention at the Paris Book Awards. She was also a finalist in the 2023 American Writing Awards. Her books have received attention in prominent publications such as True West and Western Writers Roundup magazines. She is a proud member of the Historical Novel Society, the Arizona Authors Association, the Western Writers of Americ, and the Arizona Territorial Society.
