L.A. Grabins is a Madison-born writer and a 2026 graduate of the University of Mary’s Biomechanics program. Her career as an author began early; she published her first book, Defy (2021), while still in high school, followed by Resist (2023) and Elude (2024). During her undergraduate years, L.A. balanced her academic studies with a leadership role as President of the University’s Creative Writing Club, a position she held for four years.
Currently, L.A. is pursuing a doctorate in Physical Therapy, driven by a desire to help others improve their quality of life through rehabilitation and care. Outside of her clinical studies, she remains a dedicated history enthusiast who enjoys exploring the events that have shaped the modern world. For L.A., these various interests are simply different parts of who she is—a student of science, a lover of history, and a lifelong storyteller.
