GARY JOHN CARTER

Luck was on my side, to be born in Australia in 1952, it was akin to winning the biggest lottery in the world. The World Wars were over, I was a baby boomer and I had it all in front. I would be lucky enough to miss out on the Vietnam War. I would see man walk on the moon, the creation of transistors, silicon chips and a digital world. I would listen to the best music ever written, by some of the best musicians ever born. I would see changes in fashion from the down-right ugly to the most beautiful. I would see internal combustion motors in cars morph into driverless electric vehicles and I would witness medical miracles. Best of all, the science of quantum mechanics has brought about changes straight out of the pages of science fiction novels. That has opened a door to help find out, what I’m doing here in the first place.

I have an Electrical Trades background worked in the Electrical supply industry for over 40 years. My family has had a connection with Parramatta since about 1800. I have lived a basic Sydney suburban life and avoided the stepping-stones of strife. I planted a few trees as my houses turned to homes. I had a son and a daughter with the help of a wife, and I have authored a few books in my life. I am also blessed with grandchildren.

The self is just a droplet in the ocean of others, and only one lonely leaf in a forest. The only way to be remembered is to leave behind a droplet of inspiration, a leaf of thought or a written memory of both. As my days are now getting faster, I am grateful for the cause and effect granted by the ‘The Big Bangs’ master
