Samuel Mann

A former diplomat, project manager and university lecturer, Samuel Mann is a self styled post modernist, existentialist and progressive writer whose transition to poetry evolved at a later stage in his life after an extended period of abstinence from being a visual artist. As a poet he uses imageries of art very often and admits to approaching poetry the way that an artist would before a blank canvas. Samuel is currently engaged in presenting and promoting a Caribbean poetry community page (The POTCar Circle) on social media which he believes is poised to take poetry to new levels. Among his most recent portfolios, he served as a board member for an administrative theatre organization and cultural program officer for homeless youths. He is one of three co-authors of a book on Art Therapy and the Creative Process and is avidly seeking to explore more innovative ways of writing with the aim of presenting poetry as a packaged medium combining the visual with the performance aspects. Samuel is a naturalized Canadian who hails from Guyana, is married and has two daughters.
