Janey Pitts

Janey Pitts holds a deep desire for Christians to understand scripture so it can be easily applied to their lives. She earned her Masters Degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and has served on church staffs for over seventeen years. She currently serves on staff with her husband Cory, where she is the Missions Mobilizer, and is also the staff liaison for Women's Ministry.

Janey's book, Deeply Defined, was birthed from a Wednesday night group series she led at New Work Fellowship. When she realized many Christians today struggle with giving simple explanations for common church words, like grace, mercy, hope, and more, she ran to her happy place and went to work. Using the original languages, along with biblical culture, Janey breaks down theological concepts into easily understandable definitions, all the while using great illustrations that make the points clear. Readers leave with a firm understanding of scripture, and of who they are in Christ.
