A mum of 3, with a background as an actress – on stages spanning the Battersea Arts Centre to The National Theatre; as well as on TV – Grace has had a lifelong ambition to make quality performing arts more accessible to children everywhere.
A 'Women of the Future' award winner, for being an entrepreneur leading positive social action, Grace harnesses the power of music, dance, songs, and storytelling to provide creative education to children aged 0 – 11 years in schools, nurseries and other early years settings with her company DramEd.
Grace advocates for diversity, inclusion and representation in the arts and she has always enjoyed sharing and making up stories, so when a study by the Centre for Literacy in Primary Education (CLPE), funded by the Arts Council, revealed in 2018 that only 1% of children's books published in England has a leading Black, Asian or ethnic minority character, compared to 32.1% of school children being of minority ethnic origin in England, Grace began her journey of putting her stories into print.
‘A Meeting in the Mirror' is her debut children's book, inspired by her own children and their imaginations. Grace aims to nurture young imaginations and empower children at the same time. ‘A Meeting in the Mirror’, is a rhyming story to spark young imaginations with lessons on self-worth and boundaries.
