Ditchy Fields is a children’s author, illustrator, entrepreneur, songwriter, lyricist, and musician, writing stories in a cupboard under the stairs (no - he is not a wizard and classed as house trained).
His motto: PREPARING YOUNG MINDS FOR THE RIGOURS OF ADULT LIFE, sums up what he wants to achieve, writing humorous books for the younger generation, tackling awkward issues they may face in everyday life, like mental health, racism, bullying, etc., wrapped up in storylines with invaluable advice hidden within.
Ditchy attempts to re-balance life’s seriousness stating 'Life is for living and much too short for triviality'. Posting on Instagram @ditchyfieldsauthor, he shares original humorous photos, zany comments and music, not taking life too seriously (feel free to follow). Being a lovable eccentric, he spreads love and understanding, trying to see the other point of view as there is always two sides to every story. His second offering 'The Sleepwalking Singing Sensation' offers advice to the next Taylor Swift, drawing upon years of experience in the music business (please see write up for further information). A MESSAGE TO PARENTS, GRANDPARENTS, GUARDIANS, AND OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS
Ditchy;s books really are different in preparing young minds for the harsh reality of life. Although encouraging the young to 'follow their dream' there is also invaluable advice for when things don't go the way they are planned. The gift of a Ditchy
book not only gives your children a good read, it also educates them in life itself. A must read for any young adult! Although primarily a young adult/teenage author, there is something for everyone in his writing. Amongst the manuscripts are hidden references to songs and lyrics which the older generation may like to find, you never know you may find the stories heart warming and intriguing yourself. Why not try them yourself, you might not want to pass them on after you've read them but feel it is best you do!
