Ray Hutton

Ray Hutton is a writer and editor who started his career in motoring journalism in 1968. He was Sports Editor and then Editor-in-Chief of the weekly magazine Autocar in the 1970s and 1980s. As a freelance journalist specializing in cars and the motor industry, his work has appeared in newspapers, magazines and on websites worldwide and he is best known as a contributor to the Sunday Times (UK), Car and Driver (USA) and Overdrive (India). Ray is Honorary President of the international Car of the Year Jury, Vice-President of the Guild of Motoring Writers and an Associate Member of the British Racing Drivers’ Club.
