Michael A. Lee

Michael A. Lee, M.D., a physician-poet, uses humor and laughter to entertain all with his unique brand of whimsical, rhyming poetry and illustrations. Since his high school days in Brooklyn, NY, Dr. Lee has been writing poetry, first as a hobby and now as a published author. His style of funny sketches and poetry emulates the beloved poet-artist Shel Silverstein. Dr. Lee's first book, Not Gonna Write Poems, was published in 2019 and is an anthology of entertaining poems and drawings that deal with subjects everyone can relate to- from homework, to getting old, fear, and allergies. His latest book, How Much Do You Love Me?, is a sweet and touching, rhyming short tale of a daughter and her father who provides the guidance and reassurance that every child needs...and most of all the unwavering and undying love of a parent. How Much Do You Love Me? was both written and illustrated by Dr. Lee and it was inspired by Dr. Lee's desire to express his love for his own daughter. Dr. Lee's goal with his two books is for parents to read them out loud to their kids and be entertained. After all, I think we can all agree with Dr. Lee that the most important things in life we should all have more of are: laughter and love.
