Kendra Brown

I'm a writer and editor who loves books, dinosaurs and sneakers. I’ve been working in the children’s media and publishing industry for over 15 years. Encouraging and inspiring curiosity in young people is kind of my thing. Okay, it’s more than just “my thing”—it’s my passion and what motivates me to do what I do. Currently, I'm a writer and editor with the Ontario Science Centre. I'm also the former editor of OWL Magazine, Canada’s largest publication for 9 to 13 year-olds. You may know the one—it’s been around for over 40 years and full of incredible STEAM (science, tech, engineering, arts, math) content for kids and teens. What else? Well, I’ve met an astronaut, made a TV appearance or two, and am probably best-known for my laugh. I’m told it’s infectious. But I think that just means it’s loud. I'm also the author of SMALL BUT MIGHTY: WHY EARTH'S TINY CREATURES MATTER (Owlkids Books, September 2021).
